How TruePane Windows & Doors Was Born in Hollywood

Dale Kessler didn’t set out to open a window and door company in Hollywood. He set out to fix a problem that kept finding him. For years, working inside a general contracting outfit, he watched the same scene play out on job after job. The framing would be done. The drywall would be up. And then the windows would arrive, and the arguments would start. A homeowner in Hollywood would stand in their living room, running a hand along a sill that wasn’t level, and ask why the window bound when they tried to open it in July. The answer was always the same: somebody measured once, somebody rushed, somebody walked away and let the next guy deal with it.

By 2008, Dale had seen enough. The window portion of every job was the part that got argued about later, and nobody seemed willing to own it. So TruePane Windows & Doors split off as its own company, with one rule written on the whiteboard in the shop: if the pane is not true, the job is not done. When the decision came to bring the brand to Hollywood, it wasn’t a corporate expansion strategy. It was a recognition that South Florida homes face a particular set of challenges: salt air, hurricane season, relentless sun, and windows that have to do real work every single day. Hollywood deserved a window and door team that treated those challenges as the whole job, not an afterthought.

Dale Kessler’s Personal Connection to the Windows & Doors Trade

Dale Kessler grew up around glass. His father was a glazier, and like a lot of tradesmen’s kids, Dale spent his summers holding the dumb end of the tape measure, fetching tools, and listening. He learned early what a level sounds like when it clicks true against a jamb, and what it feels like when it doesn’t. He learned that the smell of fresh glazing compound means somebody’s doing it right, and that the smell of silicone squeezed over a gap means somebody’s hiding something.

There’s a moment he remembers clearly from his twenties. He was on a job site, early morning, sun coming through a newly set picture window. The homeowner, an older woman, stood in front of it and just looked out at her yard for a long time. Then she turned and said, quietly, that it was the first time she’d ever seen the glass without noticing the glass. That’s the thing about windows and doors that most people don’t think about until it’s wrong. When they’re done right, they disappear. You don’t notice them. You just notice the light, the air, the quiet. When they’re done wrong, they’re all you notice. That woman’s comment stayed with Dale for thirty years. It’s still the standard he holds every job to in Hollywood and the surrounding communities.

What gets him out of bed in the morning is the knowledge that someone in Dania Beach or Hallandale Beach is living with a door that sticks, a window that fogs, a frame that’s pulling away from the house. And they’ve probably been living with it for years because they don’t know who to call, or they called someone once and got burned. Dale’s craft is making that problem go away for good. Not patching it. Not lubricating it. Not telling the homeowner it’s “good enough.” Making it true. If he weren’t doing this, he’d likely still be working with his hands, probably restoring old houses or building furniture, because the satisfaction of something square and solid and right is the thing he’s built his life around.

Meet Dale Kessler - The Person Behind Every Job

Dale Kessler is the Owner & Founder of TruePane Windows & Doors, serving Hollywood, FL and the surrounding communities. He’s a second-generation glazier who’s spent his entire working life in the window and door trade, learning it from the ground up, the way it used to be taught: as a craft, not a job. He’s the kind of tradesman who keeps a level in his truck door, not as a prop, but because he uses it. He measures every opening twice, no matter how many hundreds of times he’s done it before, because the day he stops measuring twice is the day a mistake gets framed into a wall.

What separates Dale from a corporate franchise technician is simple: his name is on the work. He’s not rushing to the next appointment for a bonus. He’s not trying to upsell you on something you don’t need. He’s a plainspoken guy who believes a square deal means a fair price, a true install, and a handshake that means something. He’s the kind of person who’d rather lose a bid than cut a corner. And he’s personally committed to every homeowner who trusts him with their house: if it’s not right, he’ll make it right. That’s not a slogan. It’s the way he was raised and the way he’s always worked.

Our Promise to Hollywood Homeowners

TruePane lives by a values code called K.E.Y.S., and it’s not something we put on a poster. It’s four commitments that shape every job we take in Hollywood.

Krafted right means trained journeymen, proper materials, and no shortcuts. We don’t install a window we wouldn’t put in our own house. Every time means the 400th job gets the same care as the first. We measure twice, we seal properly, and we don’t rush. Your home first means we work in your house the way we’d work in our mother’s house: drop cloths down, boots off, no mess left behind. Standing behind it means exactly what it says. If something’s not right, we come back. No paperwork, no arguing, no dragging feet.

And because a homeowner in Hollywood doesn’t need surprises, we’ve built our whole approach around one promise: no surprises on the bill. We quote manufacturer lines side by side on paper, we register both layers of the warranty before the truck leaves your driveway, and the price we quote is the price you pay.

Our Credentials

  • State-licensed: Every pro working under our name is required to hold the license and insurance their state requires. No exceptions.
  • Insured & bonded: We carry the coverage that protects your home and our crew while work is underway.
  • Years of local experience: Dale has spent his entire working life in the window and door trade, and this Hollywood branch was built by people who know South Florida construction inside and out.
  • Strong local reputation: The Keystone Standard isn’t a marketing phrase. It’s a mark of workmanship, and it’s earned one job at a time.

Why does this matter to you? Because when someone works in your home, you’re not just paying for labor. You’re trusting them with your biggest investment, your privacy, and your peace of mind. A state license means that person answers to a standard. Insurance means if something goes wrong, you’re not left holding the bill. And a reputation earned locally, job by job, means you’re not gambling on an unknown. You’re hiring someone your neighbors already know.

Rooted in Hollywood

TruePane Windows & Doors is proud to serve Hollywood, Dania Beach, Aventura, Pembroke Park, Hallandale Beach, Sunny Isles Beach, West Park, Ives Estates, Ojus, North Miami Beach, Miami Gardens, and Cooper City. We know these neighborhoods because we work in them every week. We know the older homes near downtown Hollywood that need careful sash replacements, the waterfront properties in Hallandale Beach where salt air eats at frames, and the newer construction in Cooper City where energy efficiency matters most. We hire local, we train local, and we answer the phone with a person, because we’re not a company that’s passing through. We plan to be in Hollywood for the next thirty years, and we act like it.

Why the Name TruePane

In the glass trade, there’s an old word: true. An opening that’s out of true binds, leaks, and fails early. Square, plumb, sealed: that’s the craft, and it’s the name on the truck. It’s a tradesman’s word, and it’s a promise. If the pane is not true, the job is not done. That’s been the rule since 2008, and it’s the rule in Hollywood today.
